Last weekend, I was driving on a road that I had been on before. I didn't know it until I saw a sign that hit me like a bug on a windshield.
Four years have passed since I traveled on that road. That sign made it seem like it was only four days ago. And I remembered where I was going, the heat of the summer sun and the songs that were playing on the radio.
I wonder if we ever truly forget.
