Someone said something to me that struck a nerve...the person who said it was convinced that I am completely satisfied with where I am in my life right now and did not see me changing anything anytime soon. The thing that bothered me was that it was said with a negative connotation.
I started to think more about the fine line between complacency and contentment.Yes, I am happy with where I am right now, but I also realize that staying here too long will breed stagnation.
We're always gunning for a better job, a better body, a better deal, more money...even when we get it, we still want more.
It has taken a long time for me to get to this place. Is there anything wrong with wanting to enjoy it for a little while?
